Our Client, the world’s leading carbon removal platform, sought to enhance its data management capabilities by automating data collection and transformation processes. The project aimed to improve data visibility for decision-making while ensuring integration of new data sources. Additionally, the client required robust security measures within the codebase and efficient CI/CD processes to streamline deployment across environments.
The main challenges included:

Solution
To meet the client’s needs, ITDS provided an experienced Data Architect and Data Engineer, whose expertise was instrumental in automating data collection and transformation processes. Key steps included:
- Automation & Integration: Implementing Python-based scripts to dynamically transform data and integrating multiple Azure components into a unified solution.
- Security & Compliance: Addressing credential access issues by collaborating closely with the client to clarify permissions and enforce best practices.
- CI/CD Implementation: Establishing GitHub-based pipelines to ensure efficient code tracking and deployment across environments.
- Technology Stack Optimization: Leveraging Azure Synapse, Power BI, Azure Key Vault, Azure ADLS Gen 2, and Azure Logic Apps to build a scalable and future-proof solution.
- Collaboration & Communication: Working closely with Kaarlo Forsman, a Business Analyst/Developer from the client’s team, to align business needs with technical implementation.
